Welcome to Fiddler’s Greene!
I am the blogger Dave Greene, best known for the YouTube channel “The Distributist”. I write about culture, politics, and practical political philosophy to address the myriad crises of modernity.
My Content
Most people know me from YouTube, but Substack is my primary platform for organizing and monetizing my content. It is also the best way to stay up to date on everything I have been working on. On this site, I publish written essays (most of which appear as videos as well) more or less once a month. I also do long-form YouTube livestreams on various current topics that air about 3 times a month; the monologues from these livestreams are released as podcasts.
As a side project, I also write and manage the Redwood Society community-building blog here:
A.I. Disclosure
All content featured on this blog is my own writing and speaking produced without the use of generative LLM technology in its initial draft. However, while editing and producing, I use two “A.I.” type technologies: first, Grammarly to correct writing errors, and then a text-to-voice program to ensure the prose flows when read aloud.
Support Me!
By becoming a paid subscriber, you support my longer-form essays in addition to getting expanded access to my content, including archived articles (from previous years) and transcripts from my more popular videos. I also occasionally publish paid, subscriber-only posts, primarily focused on community building.
For off-site support, one-time contributions can be sent to me via “buy-me-a-coffee” here.
