Great essay Dave.

As an idea, can we stop using Einstein as the stand-in for the consummate genius? How about Claude Shannon? How about Isaac Barrow? Isaac Newton? Leibniz? Galilei? Angstrom? How about not such a narrow scope? Why not well-rounded geniuses like Caesar? Octavian? Masculine adventurers/engineers like Columbus and Drake? Aristotle? Aristarchus?

We are going to retire the 20th century. Let's do so in its entirety. Doing that is really about restoring the love for the oikos and demonstrating it through words and actions.
